With worm bait
Notice how the Iceman jigs for a few seconds, then stops. This allows the fish to approach the bait.
Varying jigging speeds
The Iceman can be set to jig at different speeds. The models shown in the clip are the Reel and the Spincast. The jigging motion used on the Spincast model keeps the bait in motion and keeps it from resting on the hook.
Adjustable sensitivity
Whether you are using a worm or a live fish as bait, the sensivity can be adjusted. Even as the fish bait is moving away, it does not trigger the alarm. By setting the sensitivity to accomdate the bait type, you will only hear or see the alarm when a fish is actually biting the bait.
Reel model with alarm
When a fish is on the line, the alarm will sound and the red LED indicator lights up. As this happens, the jigging motion stops until there is activity on the line again.
Spincast model with alarm
Even as the bait is swimming away from the water surface, the alarm does not activate. But when a fish is going after the bait, then the alarm sounds and the red LED indicator lights up.
Reel model without alarm
With the alarm turned off, the red LED indicator still lights up to alert you that a fish is on your line.
Spincast model without alarm
As with the reel model, when the alarm is turned off the red LED indicator still lights up.
