Henry and John Rozkowski

Since their childhood, a fierce competition existed between two brothers. Henry, a mechanical engineer, and John, a master toolmaker, fought each other intensely for a competitive edge in their lifelong fishing competition. With their expertise in the engineering and manufacturing, Henry and John had contests with each other to design and build a better fishing product than the other.

When they both had designed a product, they decided to combine the two into what is their first patented product, the Iceman. Henry and John's passion for fishing lead to the formation of Rozko Incorporated. Through their company, they now have the ability to make a state-of-the-art fishing product that is based off of their fishing experience.

“We both have worked all of our lives in engineering and manufacturing environments, and fully understand the systematic approach to producing robust products that work,” explains Henry. “We put our heads together to utilize our years of knowledge and expertise in order to offer our ideas to fellow fishing enthusiasts."

Henry and John have studied fish behaviors in all climates. “We feel like fish psychologists,” states John. Studying fish activity in cold climates for many years has provided the two brothers with the education and experience that was necessary to design the unique features of the Iceman.

“Ice fishing is especially challenging because of the extreme climate conditions and the slower metabolism and activity of the fish," says Henry.

“The fish have to be enticed by jigging a bait to bite in their inactive condition. To detect any nibble, one must have a high sensitivity device. Replicating these movements that attract the fish, and having the sensitivity that responds to the slightest nibble, is the key to success,” John explains.

“We designed into the Iceman features that we, as fishermen, found valuable in our efforts to catch fish,” states Henry. It is through these efforts that Henry and John were able to patented many unique features into the Iceman.

Henry and John have additional ideas and products that will soon be available on the market. Currently, the Iceman is produced from their location in Warren, Michigan. The two brothers will continue using local manufacturing companies for labor and materials and build each Iceman by hand to insure the highest quality product. Each product is carefully assembled and tested by the brothers to bring to you the products that the many customers of Rozko Inc. have come to expect.
